My Goals For 2019..
2018 was an especially rough year for our family. We struggled financially, our marriage almost fell apart, we moved across the country, and had too many deaths in our family. there were many tears shed, and I would never want to go through last year again. I'm starting 2019 with a positive mindset; and really striving this year to reach my goals. This is the year I don't want to have an anxiety attack everyday about paying a phone bill or car payment on time.
•Have a healthy baby girl.
Our newest addition to our family is coming in just two short months! I cannot believe how quickly this pregnancy has gone by. We do have a first name for her already, but haven't settled on a middle name. Once we figure that out we will announce her name!
•Potty train Skye.
Skye will be two in march, and I really want to start actively working on getting her out of diapers. She has started showing interest in potty training, and told me when she has to go twice! But i all reality, with me still working full time, and a newborn on the way in two months; now is just not the time to start. We will start in the next few months though!
•Buy a house.
We are so ready to have our own space again! I miss our home in NC so much, but I am so glad that we are close to family again. We still don't make it to meet up with family as often as I'd like, but working full time does make that a little difficult.
•Find a stay at home job.
I really enjoy working, because it gives me a sense of accomplishment, and I love being able to contribute to our finances so Andrew doesn't have to stress. But having two little girls is going to make going back to work very difficult, especially with breastfeeding; so a stay at home job will most likely be the only option.
•Have zero car payments.
Hopefully by the end of this month we will have accomplished this goal! We are currently selling my car, and purchasing an older suv, but it will completely get rid of our car payments!
•Go on a vacation just Andrew and I.
I don't think that we'll go very far from home, or be gone very long; but I definitely want to get some us time in this year. We've been together almost five years, but never actually taken a vacation just the two of us.
•Go on a family vacation with the girls.
This one will probably be towards the end of this year, because I want to wait for the baby to be a little older before traveling; but is a definite must!
•Successfully breastfeed all year.
I really wanted to breastfeed Skye until her first birthday, but unfortunately we had to stop about 4-5 months in. This time around, I am so much more educated on nursing, and I cannot wait to start the journey again with our second little girl.
•Get in shape.
This is a pretty common one everyone has, but once I deliver in march, I plan on giving my all to get in the best shape I can. I really want to feel good again, and I want to like what I see when pictures are taken. I really want more pictures of me with my family, and I tend to shy away from pictures because I hate the way I look in them.
