Pregnancy Hospital Bag Checklist...
There are so many different lists of the essentials that you nee for the hospital, but honestly, you don't need even half of it. Obviously when you have a labor and delivery with pain medication, it's going to be a little different. When I went to the hospital to have Skye, I had to be induced. I had known from the beginning that I didn't want to have pain medication. Obviously that lasted for ten very long hours, with some pretty painful contractions, and then I opted for an Intrathecal Line.
Here are my Essentials!
A Robe
This is actually the exact robe that I took, a it was a LIFE SAVER! I didn't labor in this, but it made it a lot easier to nurse baby after, and I didn't have to wear pants. Clothing the first 24 hours (give or take), was really uncomfortable for me. It also made it easier when the nurses would check my uterus. All in all this was probably my favorite item that I brought.

Laptop or Tablet
While I was laboring, I didn't really use ours. But the next couple days I was at the hospital, Andrew and I watched a lot of TV and movies. It was really nice to do something a little more normal, especially since by he third day in the hospital, we were both anxious to go home. It gave me something to do while trying to learn how to breast feed, and it kept Andrew from going stir crazy.
Towels From Home
While this may seem a bit odd, that first shower right after you have baby, is the most amazing thing oyu will feel in the hospital. Then hospital I delivered at had the scratchiest, and smallest towels ever. I honestly wish I had packed towels from home, next time I definitely will be.
Slippers or Slip Proof Socks
While laboring with Skye, I had on fuzzy slip proof socks, that kept me feeling comfy, but also made the trip to the bathroom a little less cold. Once I actually changed into my robe, and moved into the recovery room, I changed into my slippers. I didn't actually pack any "Real Shoes".
*Pro Tip* Wear your slippers to the hospital. You can thank me later.

Face Wipes
Lets face it, washing my face while having contractions, just wasn't going to happen.
I didn't have any makeup on, but I know if I had gotten an epidural, I would have had makeup on.
These were honestly just nice to have on had, for when you really needed to refresh your face from the sweating. Burt's Bees Sensitive Facial Cleansing Towelettes with Cucumber and Sage - 30 Count (Pack of 3)
