My Goals For 2019..

Image
2018 was an especially rough year for our family. We struggled financially, our marriage almost fell apart, we moved across the country, and had too many deaths in our family. there were many tears shed, and I would never want to go through last year again. I'm starting 2019 with a positive mindset; and really striving this year to reach my goals. This is the year I don't want to have an anxiety attack everyday about paying a phone bill or car payment on time. •Have a healthy baby girl. Our newest addition to our family is coming in just two short months! I cannot believe how quickly this pregnancy has gone by. We do have a first name for her already, but haven't settled on a middle name. Once we figure that out we will announce her name! •Potty train Skye. Skye will be two in march, and I really want to start actively working on getting her out of diapers. She has started showing interest in potty training, and told me when she has to go twice! But i all reality, wi...

Reach Your 2019 Goals

Image
Let's be honest, every single year we claim that "this is the year we reach our goals", but then the end of december comes, and you are nowhere near your goals. I decided that halfway through december I was tired of how often this keeps happening, and that I wanted to see what I could change, and implement into my life that will really help me to succeed in reaching my goals. Here are some of the products and ideas that I found, that may really help me get to where I want to be. •Get a desk• This is actually the desk that once we move into our house, I will be ordering. Before we moved, my tiny desk was in the middle of the living room, and honestly just became a catch all for any junk I didn't have a place for. I never actually used it because it just wasn't very functional. •Buy a Planner• This is a pretty obvious one, but literally every single year I buy a planner, and I really do use it. This year, though, I really wanted to change it up. In...

Gift Ideas For Men

Image
Something I always seem to struggle with, is what to buy for the men in my life. For some reason I find it harder to shop for them, than anyone else! Here are some of them items, I know that so many men would love! A neck massaging pillow, Andrew gets so many knots in his upper back; and I genuinely think that this would help him! Not to mention that any guy, knots of not enjoys a good massage every now and then.   A beanie with bluetooth, while this isn't something I would buy for Andrew, I know plenty of men, even my dad, who would enjoy this. Andrew has wireless earbuds, so this isn't something that would interest him. But I feel like for people who run, or even just work outside in cold weather, this would be a great buy! A lot of men carry their wallets in their back pockets, so I thought this would be a great gift. This is so much slimmer than most wallets, so I thought this would be a more practical and comfortable option!   ...

This year I am trying to get Skye some more fine motor skills, and interactive toys. A friend of ours has these, and Skye LOVED them! This is a great way to work on colors, and their motor skills, at the sa...

Be There...

This post is about to be very personal, and open, and it gives me anxiety to tell people how much I have sucked as a wife.  Andrew is an amazing husband, I'm really just not saying that. He jumps in and helps me, if I am trying to lift something that I shouldn't; or if I am struggling with cleaning stuff off the floor. He stood next to me all twelve hours of my labor, and even the last hour of me pushing. He is so amazing with Skye, more amazing than I could ever have imagined. He never ceases to amaze me, when he is exhausted, but will still make time to give Skye attention. He deals with me being over emotional, and doesn't get upset or even comment when the house is a complete disaster. There have been multiple occasions when he would get home from work, and the sink is overflowing with dishes, all of the laundry is dirty, and the house has never been more messy. Not once did he ever ask what I did all day, or make me feel bad for hi working all day and coming home to ...

Favorite Amazon Products

Recently I've seen so many posts about people's favorite Amazon Products, and I have been loving reading them! Maybe it's just me, but I thought it could be fun to share some of my favorite, and repeat buys! Comment down below if you try any of these products, or comment your favorite products for me to check out! These puffer fish dryer balls have been a repeat buy of ours. I'm not a huge fan or dryer sheets, so these are perfect for us! Plus they are ridiculously cute! I've tried a few different types of dryer balls, and so far these have been my favorite, but I think next time I may be trying the Wool kind. Comment below if you use the wool dryer balls, and whether or not you recommend them! We actually just sold our Keurig, but we bought two or three of these, and they were lifesavers! We hated how much money we were spending on K-cups, and these seriously cut down the cost! This is definitely a favorite!   I was searching for months for ...

How To Be More Productive Everyday

Create a Routine Creating a routine is one of the most effective ways to boost, or maintain your productivity. It can help you to get into "Work Mode", and you'll eventually get so used to getting work done during that time that it will become natural. Having a routine also guarantees that you have the time to get what you need done.  Get a Planner Using a planner to map out your upcoming deadlines and activities, can act as a reminder for when you have extra time. It also helps serve as a schedule and can be an essential piece in keeping your routine on track. I personally just love to write down what I need to get done, or have coming up. It helps me to remember a lot of things and relieves a lot of anxiety.  Make Time For YOU Making "me" time is something I still struggle with. I know it's important; but with an almost two year old, a husband three dogs, and a baby on the way, I often forget to make time for me. I've definitely...
