Kitchen Tools...

Andrew and I don't really eat out super often, so that means we cook a lot of the food we eat. So we have made a couple investments to make cooking a little more convenient for us. Here are our current favorite kitchen items that we own, because Lord know we are going to end up buying more.


Crockpot

I Feel like everyone loves their crockpot. Andrew and I make everything from roasts, to deserts with our lovely crockpot. Especially since having a baby, our crockpot has made cooking so much easier.  I love that I can literally just throw everything in, give it a good mix, put the lid on, and walk away. To be completely honest, I forget that I started making anything until I can smell it when it's almost done.

Ninja Blender

We actually bought our Ninja because Andrew is going to be having surgery on his jaw soon, and wont be able to eat anything other than liquids and soft foods. Also we plan on making Skye's baby food ourselves, so having a really good blender was definitely a must for us. We use it for milkshakes, smoothies, protein shakes, homemade ice cream, and shredding chicken. Honestly the opportunities are endless. I'm actually really looking forward to our summer BBQ's we have almost every weekend, So that we can use it to make frozen Margarita's and such lol.

Vegetable Chopper

Once upon a time we had one of these nifty little doodads, but I honestly have no clue where it went. I loved this for when I needed to chop olives for making pasta salad, or when I wanted a quick salad. We really need to buy a new one of these, because it really did make our live a whole lot easier!

Keurig

Andrew actually surprised me with this for Christmas two years ago. I had been wanting one forever, and he kept telling me no. But, little did I know, he was planning on getting me one for Christmas. While yes, buying the K-cups can be a little expensive, Andrew and I just use a refillable pod, and get our coffee ground. This really helps limit the amount of coffee I drink during the day, because if I just brew a pot I'll end up drinking the whole thing by myself.


Wok

Every time we would walk through the kitchen aisles at the store, we would stop and look at the pots and pans, and comment on how we really want to buy a wok. I'm so glad that one day we finally did buy on. We don't only use this for when we make a stir fry, we actually use it for when we have a lot of people over for diner and need to cook a large amount of something. Last time we did this we made a huge batch of shredded barbeque chicken, to put on hamburger buns. It made it so much easier than using a couple different pans to cook everything.
