My Favorite Baby Skincare Products...

Since having Skye we are having to learn which baby products work best for her skin.
Skye was born at 41 weeks, because of this her poor little skin was constantly peeling, which in turn made her skin super dry and sensitive. These are the "Holy Grail" products that got us through that time, and that we are still using on her. These are 100% my honest opinions, and none of this is sponsored.



 Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Creamy Wash



When we finally got home and were able to give Skye her first "real" bath, it was a no brainer. Her skin was so patchy from it peeling, that I could only imagine how itchy she was. I applied this on my hand and lightly massaged it all over her little body. This not only reduced the amount of peeling skin, but it left her feeling so much more hydrated than before.

Aveeno Soothing Relief Moisture Cream

 This stuff is liquid gold. I ultimately think this is what helped Skye's dry skin issue. I use this on her every night, which totally might be overkill, but I really don't want to risk her skin getting as dry as it was again. After every bath time I give her a little baby massage with this stuff, typically we do her bath just before bedtime. She does have pretty sensitive skin, which I can only imagine she inherited from me, and not once has she ever broken out.


Babyganics Shampoo and Body Wash

The pump on this bottle is so unbelievably helpful. We're actually are completely out of this right now, and I need to buy more, but we normally switch between this and the Aveeno wash.
This leaves Skye smelling so good, and it's all natural. Slowly but surely I am trying to switch her to all natural skincare products, and Babyganics is our go to now.


California Baby Bug Repellent

I'm not sure if this can count as a skincare product, but I love this stuff because it doesn't stink, or leave her feeling sticky. Living in North Carolina we have some pretty ridiculous mosquitos, plus Andrew and I like to be outside a lot so this, and their sunscreen, are a must for Skye. I actually like to use this on myself as well, because I occasionally breakout from other bug spray's. I haven't had any issues with this you Skye, or myself!

Here We Go...

Since having my daughter I've realized that not only are the "Essential Baby Products" not always essential, but half the time they are a big waste of money. My essentials aren't always going to be your essentials. My tips won't always work for you, heck you might even think my tips or tricks suck. My Goals For 2019..

2018 was an especially rough year for our family. We struggled financially, our marriage almost fell apart, we moved across the country, and had too many deaths in our family. there were many tears shed, and I would never want to go through last year again. I'm starting 2019 with a positive mindset; and really striving this year to reach my goals. This is the year I don't want to have an anxiety attack everyday about paying a phone bill or car payment on time. •Have a healthy baby girl. Our newest addition to our family is coming in just two short months! I cannot believe how quickly this pregnancy has gone by. We do have a first name for her already, but haven't settled on a middle name. Once we figure that out we will announce her name! •Potty train Skye.
