Ozark Trail Insulated Cup Review

Image
I went back and forth on whether or not to buy a Yeti Cup, but I wasn't sure I really wanted to spend the money on one. So I decided to try a couple of the cheaper options first. Ozark Trail has a few different insulated cups, so they were the first on the list. An added bonus with theirs, is that it is under $15.00! Now we do already own a Yeti cup, Andrew was able to snag one on sale while he was on base in Yuma, so after I had used his a couple times I really wanted something that worked as well but for a fraction of the cost. My biggest thing with the cup, is that it had to keep my coffee hot for a decent amount of time. I'm a working mom of a nine month old, and I take online courses; I drink a lot of coffee. Unfortunately I am really good at losing my coffee when I run to stop my daughter from trying to bite the dog, or drink the dog's water, or really any of the 1000000 other things she isn't supposed to be doing. (I'm so not super mom, so a lot of the t...

Kitchen Essentials...

Image
Whether you're moving into a new home, or you're going to be living on your own for the first time, your going to need some new kitchen items. Honestly buying new kitchen gadgets, is probably my favorite type of shopping. Obviously aside from buying new baby products/toys haha. I've listed my favorite kitchen essentials with links below! Keurig I personally  love my keurig, it makes my morning just that much easier, and I have on demand hot water for tea, hot cocoa, etc. Plus you don't have to clean out a nasty coffee pot and filter after each use! Toaster Oven Andrew was dead set on getting a toaster oven instead of a regular toaster, and I'm so glad that he was! While yes you can use this for toast, we literally use this for just about everything. Toast, mini pizzas, reheating pizza, basically anything that fits and we want toasty! Pan Organizer We recently got one of these and it is a game changer, I hate opening my pot and pan cabinet be...

Stress Management...

Image
Whether you're a mom, a student, a dad, or you work, you're bound to have at least a little stress in your life. Let's be honest, managing your stress can be, well, stressful. Some days may be easier than others, but on those particularly difficult days try some of my favorite ways to help manage stress. Meditate When hearing the word meditate, people often tend to think you have to sit for hours on end. Seriously, who has time for that? Meditating can be on your own terms. You chose the amount of time, and the way you spend it. Personally I like to take five to ten minutes, close my eyes and either sit in silence and focus on my breathing, or listen to slow acoustics and pace my breathing to the music. Even better if I can go to my happy place! Create a planner     I've found that if I have my schedule written down, not just saved in my phone, I feel a little less worried about everything that I have to do. Once I can see it all planned out in ...

Husband Tag...

So this post is going to be pretty long, but I decided to do a Husband Tag. The reason I really wanted to do this, is the last couple weeks Andrew has had to really step up. He has been taking care of not only Skye, but me as well. This involves the cooking, cleaning, bath time, and generally everything I do, on top of everything he does.  Last week I had a D&C and it took so much more out of me than I anticipated. It took about three or four days to be able to walk without getting lightheaded, and those few days, He had to do EVERYTHING. I'm still not 100% (for unknown reasons), and he is still having to do a lot. I wanted to do a few posts all about him and our relationship. *Keep in mind I have a very sarcastic husband lol Q: How and where did we meet? A: You know exactly where we met... Q: What was your first impression? A: I don't remember. Q: How and where was our first date? A: Uhh the movies.. and you were sick and dying. Q:  Where was...

Becoming Parents...

When I first started dating Andrew, I knew what I wanted out of a relationship. I wasn't going to date someone, unless I knew that wanted a future with that person. This meant that there was a lot of talking and getting to know the other person, before I would make it 'official'. I also knew, vaguely, what I wanted in life.  I wanted to be a wife, and a mom. This worked for Andrew, since he wanted to be a husband, and be a dad. Unfortunately, when it came to us conceiving, we struggled. Nw it didn't take us nearly as long as a lot of couples, but we both thought it would be easy. We were both young, went to the gym often, and ate pretty healthily. It took over a year for us to become pregnant. During this time I tried countless supplements, made andrew take fish oil, cut out *almost* all caffeine, tried prenatal yoga, drank tons of water, and pretty much everything else you can find on Google to "Naturally Boost Fertility".  I was trying everything I could ...

Pregnancy Hospital Bag Checklist...

There are so many different lists of the essentials that you nee for the hospital, but honestly, you don't need even half of it. Obviously when you have a labor and delivery with pain medication, it's going to be a little different. When I went to the hospital to have Skye, I had to be induced. I had known from the beginning that I didn't want to have pain medication. Obviously that lasted for ten very long hours, with some pretty painful contractions, and then I opted for an Intrathecal Line. Here are my Essentials! A Robe This is actually the exact robe that I took, a it was a LIFE SAVER! I didn't labor in this, but it made it a lot easier to nurse baby after, and I didn't have to wear pants. Clothing the first 24 hours (give or take), was really uncomfortable for me. It also made it easier when the nurses would check my uterus. All in all this was probably my favorite item that I brought. Avidlove Womens Bathrobe Soft Kimono Cotton Knit Robe Lace Trim...
