Ozark Trail Insulated Cup Review
I went back and forth on whether or not to buy a Yeti Cup, but I wasn't sure I really wanted to spend the money on one. So I decided to try a couple of the cheaper options first. Ozark Trail has a few different insulated cups, so they were the first on the list. An added bonus with theirs, is that it is under $15.00!
Now we do already own a Yeti cup, Andrew was able to snag one on sale while he was on base in Yuma, so after I had used his a couple times I really wanted something that worked as well but for a fraction of the cost.
My biggest thing with the cup, is that it had to keep my coffee hot for a decent amount of time. I'm a working mom of a nine month old, and I take online courses; I drink a lot of coffee. Unfortunately I am really good at losing my coffee when I run to stop my daughter from trying to bite the dog, or drink the dog's water, or really any of the 1000000 other things she isn't supposed to be doing. (I'm so not super mom, so a lot of the time I catch her just as she starts splashing... Ooops.) When I set my coffee down somewhere and forget about it, I really want it to be hot when I find it again.
I also really want it to be hot when I'm driving to drop Skye off at Daycare, and when I finally get myself to work.
This cup 100% keeps my coffee hot for about two hours or so, and keeps it warm for about another three. Which is absolutely perfect for me! I love how long my coffee is hot for, and it being warm for even longer after that is a HUGE plus!
I wanted a lid that was easy to get off, but doesn't leak every time I take a sip.
The Ozark Trail cup has never leaked on me when I take a sip, which has saved so many shirts, and has prevented me from getting coffee in my hair. This has a super easy lid to get on and off as well, I've had a few cups, that have a twist-on twist-off lid, and the metal on the cup would always expand, making it nearly impossible for me to get it off. This on has a super simple lid that you just pop on and off.
I also wanted a cup that would last. Now I only hand wash our insulated cups, but even then I had a few that would start to look dingy, and would have coffee stains in them no matter how often I washed them. So far so good with this one! The paint on the outside it holding up really well, and the inside is as clean as ever. I can always get thee coffee smell out, and it hasn't started to look dingy in the couple months that I've had it!
So all in all, I love this cup! The price is AMAZING, and the cup itself is really well made! I actually don't have any complaints. Great Job Ozark Trail!
